Pitching, Financing & Social Impact at EFM 2025
The PITCH_IT 4th Edition on February 13 offers filmmakers a key opportunity to present their projects and engage with industry professionals. Paul Rieth from GET YOUR CROWD has supported project development as one of the mentors in this edition. The Documentary & Social Impact track includes «Films Change the World» on February 14, which explores the role of documentaries in shaping societal narratives. Also on February 14, «How to Navigate Berlinale & EFM from a Non-Fiction Perspective» offers practical insights for documentary filmmakers. On February 17, «Film Festivals and Polarized Societies» examines the challenges of presenting films in increasingly divided environments.

We believe the Gender, Diversity & Equality track tackles the pressing issues of inclusivity within the film industry. On February 14, the session «Gender Equality in the Audiovisual Sector» will evaluate the progress made towards achieving gender parity, followed by «Female Leadership: Breaking the Glass Ceiling,» which highlights the barriers and successes of women in leadership positions. A noteworthy event is «Brüder, holt Eure Schwestern ans Set!» on February 20, where our friend Christoph May from the Detox Masculinity Institute will guide the attendees to discuss how men can play an active role in supporting gender equality on set.
